I was born and raised in Mississauga Ontario, growing up my parents enrolled me in almost every activity under the sun. From hockey to skiing, to drum lessons, my parents wanted me to try as many things as I could in pursuit of finding my own interests. I developed many skills and friendships through these activities which have helped shape the person I am today.
For my University studies, I attended Wilfried Laurier University out in Waterloo where I obtained an Honours degree in their Bachelor of Business Administration program (BBA). Living on my own in Waterloo taught me many valuable lessons (the hard way without Mom and Dad’s help). I attribute a great set of my knowledge to some of my wonderful professors from the Honours BBA program, they were much more than just lecturers, most of them had real tangible work experience that was shared with us that helped paint the best possible picture of an actual office environment.
Straight out of University I began my career in investment advice as an associate to one of the top advisors at “Manulife Securities – the Elie Nour Group”. After one full year as an understudy, I obtained my Investment Advisor (IA) designation. After many successful years with Manulife Securities, our brokerage transitioned away from their platform and we now operate Independently as “Nour Private Wealth”. Here, I have been promoted to a mentoring advisor role where I’m now training the next generation of advisors for the firm. This is an extremely rewarding opportunity for me as I really enjoy teaching and interacting with my understudies. It brings a new element to my position that I truly cherish.”
