Elie Nour with guest host Christian Deckart

This week our market update was hosted by Elie Nour, Chief Executive Officer at Nour Private Wealth Inc and guest speaker Christian Deckart, Deputy Chief Investment Officer & Portfolio Manager at Mawer Investment Management Ltd. Previously, Mr. Deckart worked in Zurich, Switzerland, as a Portfolio Manager for a European Family Office and as an Equity Analyst at an investment boutique. During his time in Switzerland, he mainly focused on investments in European and North American equities.

Prior to this, he was a Small-/Mid Cap Equity Analyst at Merrill Lynch in London, UK, and at Commerzbank in Frankfurt, Germany. He began his career in 1997 with an apprenticeship at Bankhaus Reschel & Co. in Munich, Germany.

Mr. Deckart was a joint recipient of Investment Executive’s 2019 Fund Manager of the Year award. Mr. Deckart received a Ph.D. and a Diploma in Law from the University of Augsburg, Germany, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
