This week our market update was hosted by Elie Nour, Chief Executive Officer at Nour Private Wealth Inc and guest speaker Peter Bowen, VP, Tax and Retirement Research at Fidelity Investments. The webinar focused on the present challenges facing Canadian retirees and the new realities given Covid-19. It also highlighted the potential tax considerations for the upcoming year.
Peter Bowen has over 30 years of industry experience. He has been the Vice-President for the Tax and Retirement Research department at Fidelity Investments since 2012.
Prior to this role, he was the Fund Treasurer at Fidelity Investments from 1994 to 2012. Prior to joining Fidelity, Peter worked as Principal in the tax department of PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1988 to 1994.
